Mission Statement  February 20,2013

Obesity Thunder Bay works to confront the issue of obesity through Shared  Acountability and Responsibility. To effect social change through advocacy, research, education and the elimination of unhealthy food  environments.

We are a working think tank and welcome individuals and agencies to assist in our endeavor to promote healthy communities, and individuals. Please add your voice to the development of a new model that will create a comprehensive action plan.

 The dream is to conduct a trial on the basis of the model called, Shared Accountability.Shared Accountability is afixed to Blood Pressure,in that as Blood Pressure is challenged,or improved so goes overall health, and the byproduct could be a better life quality. This project is 100 % not for profit,nor does it promote any concepts related to weight loss.We do not do weight loss.We promote and support individuals.

   You, the reader, are invited to create this action plan with us and to build a more accepting plan as it relates to community health. Overweight and obese children are not the enemy.
