I have tried to out run it my whole life. I have tried drink it gone at times. Heck I even tried to gorge, purge, and binge it gone. Like a junkie waiting for his next fix ,the food would suppress those memories for a short while. Every bully that has ever been brutal to me lives inside me. Just like flashbacks those memories come forth from time to time. That guy that bloodied me with rocks. locker room taunts when you had to get dressed for sports. The guy at the store that told me I should shoot myself because I was a waste of space. That girl that said she was interested and wanted to go to the dance with me ,guess what the punchline was me. Bullying is just not a random issue it happens everyday and should be a public issue. We need to call these bullies out and bring them to the forefront. Change does not come with suppressing the issue. We need to be  vigilant and promote a dignity and acceptance model. My bully inside of me is like a ghost of my past, it scares me but I have learned to live with it. *325tolife*

The basis for bullying is in the home.  I honestly believe that children are in a sense, raised to be that way.  Compassion, acceptance, empathy, kindness are TAUGHT skills.  I am teaching my child (age 4) now to possess those skills and to handle those who lack them.
