We need a new community obesity action plan.

The food industry has countless resources and owns much of the media. TV weight loss is losing ground and the globe continues to awaken. I am thrilled that Michelle Obama has chosen to step into the ring. However, she has framed this in a way that may encourage more children to grapple with Eating Issues. Her intention is noble , but
many of our young girls are ready to die to try and become thin.
I want to inspire a conversation about childhood obesity. How can our children be expected to become healthier ? Who is safeguarding their food environment? For years the media wanted obesity to be about lifestyle, and the food industry funded this plan. We need to ask some tough questions. Where is the simple plan to create healthy food environments ?
TV is not making our kids Fat , this was the push in the 80's , and it still has a very strong following. The amount of food advertising is making our children obese and at risk for health issues. While we Bash the Obese , what attention is linked to the food industry? We continue to beat down the individual and the food industry walks free . I say we need accountability . And shared accountability is my model. With shared accountability we are all invested , and in so doing we might create a plan.
Let's Move is very similar to our Canadian model called Partiapaction. It was started in the 70's , and it was just recently brought back to life . This continues to be about manipulation and paid for science continues to play a big fat role . We need to use a microphone and add voices from across the globe , we need a conversation about childhood obesity.
Shared Accountability Model is built with dignity and integrity. Please add your voice to the conversation. Children are no match for the billion dollar food industry ,and the media continues to distort the reality. Childhood obesity is no game , and I urge you to get involved and help to promote the conversation.

Thanks Paul
